I had a good stay at Canalta Hotel in Oyen. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant experience. The rooms were very spacious — much bigger than I expected — which made the stay feel more relaxed and not cramped at all. Everything was clean and well kept. The breakfast service was great. The staff did a really good job, and the food was fresh and well prepared. It was a solid way to start the day. The gym is also impressive for a smaller town hotel. It’s well equipped and maintained, which was a nice bonus. The location is convenient too — there’s a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away and an A&W close by, which makes grabbing snacks or a quick meal very easy. The only downside for me was the room windows. They are large, and the hotel is in an open area without fencing or any grill protection on the windows. From a security perspective, it feels like someone could force entry by breaking the glass, which made me a bit uneasy. Overall, it was still a good stay, and I would consider staying again.
We have stayed at the Oyen Canalta twice now, and the first time the staff stocked the mini fridge in the conference room they let us use with snacks and drinks for our hockey team. They are always very friendly, kind and accommodating. They make the process easy and enjoyable.
Stayed at Canalta Oyen Hotel during a business trip—rented two rooms for four people and had a great experience. Rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The staff was friendly and made check-in easy. Breakfast was a nice bonus, with plenty of options to start the day. Would definitely stay here again for future work trips.
A great hotel! Have stayed numerous times and it’s always been above average. Staff are helpful, very accommodating towards kids, good breakfast and clean rooms.
Extremely satisfied with my stay. The rooms are fantastic. And I must say April at the reservation desk was ‘ top notch ‘ she is super friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommended making a pit stop here and will certainly rebook when I come though town again .
A very nice pet friendly hotel with easy access outside to accommodate our pet’s needs. Very clean and relaxing environment. A really good breakfast too.
Great service by everyone we spoke to. Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic rooms, clean and comfortable. Perfect for overnight stay or even a romantic destination. It is a few kilometres from Oyen, so unfortunately one can’t walk there from a bar or restaurant, but it is only a minute or two by vehicle. Highly recommended.
Hotel was very clean staff was over the top friendly to us and our kids. The gift bags were an amazing touch. Best breakfast you can ask for from a hotel. AC in the room was working very well for those hot days.
